2012 Week 9 Preview: Women's Soccer

After a week long hiatus due to work related things, we're back with previewing the teams this week.  I also hope to have an "I went to the game," from the UCSB-UCR match as well as a photo montage from the season from various writers and contributors (All 3-4 of us! We need YOU to send in the events you go to!).

Let's get started: after a surprising start to Big West play, the Mustangs of Cal Poly lead the metric football standings.  The Lady Mustangs are 4-0 in conference play, their best start since 2002.  Also worth noting, is LBSU, who after a surging start has dropped halfway down the table.  With five games to go in the season and two games out of first, can the 49ers reclaim the top of the table?

Friday's lineup brings some intrigue, as Cal Poly squares off against Northridge at home, LBSU travels north to Davis, Hawaii leaves the islands to go to the lagoon as they play UCSB and UCI travels to Pacific.  On Sunday, Hawaii goes to knock the Mustangs of their pedestal, LBSU goes to Pacific, Northridge travels to UCSB, UCI plays UCD and UCR goes to Fullerton.
