UCSB vs. UCI Friday (10/5)
This Friday (10/5) #4 UCSB takes on the currently unranked UCI. UCSB and UCI have a long history of Big West Rivalry as they battled year after year for the Big West Title and automatic NCAA bid. This year's stage has been set in a rather unusual manner. UCSB, undefeated through the first 10 matches, hopes to avenge last year's team against UCI (normally a very well ranked team), which has been winless in the last 8 matches. We can look forward to seeing some returning players who were previously injured.

UCSB vs. CSUN Sunday (10/7)
On Sunday (10/7) #4 UCSB will take on unranked CSUN. Althought they both have similar goals for and goals against numbers (24-9:23-8) UCSB is ranked much better than CSUN in RPI and in polls. CSUN has lost 4/11 games so far but has scored a shower of goals (3+) in various games against easier teams. While UCSB hasn't had many opportunities to create a similar showing they have played well against all teams, and most importantly against better teams. Last year's game got physical and fairly violent, hopefully this doesn't happen again.
