Morning Links 5/3/12

It's been awhile since I've done Thursday links...lucky for you all, I was able to get up this early.


Baseball recaps
UCR avenged a 10-1 loss on Tuesday to beat UNLV 5-2 on Wednesday, in the meantime, UCD fell to Fresno State 11-4.

Fullerton falls to SDSU in 6, 12-4
After 2 big, 6 run innings, the game was called.  The plus side was that Eliza Crawford hit her first HR of the season, a 3-dinger.  

Conference expansion with potential implications
SJSU and Utah State (both former Big West teams) are officially joining the Mountain West.  This leaves Idaho and New Mexico as the only football teams left in the WAC, with Denver, Seattle and Boise State still there for non-football sports at the moment.  The big question once again is would the Big West take any of these teams for a set price?

What do you think?  Are you tired of conference realignment? Should the Big West harbor neglected teams who aren't wanted by anybody else?  Would SDSU have enough power to bring their football travel partner to a new conference?
